Ask The Truck

Here in the House of Blogs, you have a chance to ask our FS Wisconsin crew questions. Below, Joseph Maar (Coordinating Producer) answers a couple of questions from Opening Day.

So glad Brewers season has started. I just a question about your in game graphics, Where is the on base diamond??  If you aren't paying close attention, or use the restroom, and someone gets on base you have no clue....Please bring it back!!!!

-Becky Brunner

Becky, we do use the base-diamond on our graphics. What you might have seen was during the early innings of yesterday's game when our primary graphics computer failed and we used a backup system temporarily that didn't have that information.

How many teams use Fox Sports Net to broadcast their games? Do all the teams share information?

-Peter, Third Ward

Peter, there are 17 teams with FOX Sports Net affiliations. 14 of them are networks actually run by FSN, three are ones that retain the FSN name but not ownership.  We share technical resources, video footage and have planning meetings with each other for global issues.  Most of the information shared is about the execution of the telecast (which graphics to use for lineups, what music at the top of the game) and some general philosophies (best angle for the center field camera, ratings strategies, etc).  Other than a league-wide overview which we share at the beginning of a season, each region does its own research on what's important to showcase and which stories to tell for a given game.

Thanks for your questions and enjoy Brewers television on Fox Sports Wisconsin this year!

So tonight Gallardo gave up 2 runs and hit a 3-run home run. How many times in Brewers history has it happened where a brewers pitcher had more RBI than runs given up in one game?

Thank you

Hey, BA and Rock, This is your friend Blair from Fond Du Lac.
I have several topics I'd like to discuss.
First of all, the last road game you did, I heard Jeff Grayson call you guys the television 'voices of the Brewers'. I have a problem with that. I can see it n Bill's case because he's been in the booth for so long, but don;t you guys think he was being a little bit 'premature when talking about Brian.
In my opinioni, if you want to be the 'voice'of a team, you stay with that tean eriod of ttime, like Bob Uecker. This is only your third year, BA, what do you think of Grayson's comment, do you think he crossed the line, in other words, do you think that that's fair to say in your short time with the Brewers
Secondly;
BA, when you get excited when someone hits a home run, like Braun or Fielder, I think you're showing favoriteism towards that player, either that or you're just being a homer.
Next;
when someone hits a big home run, or makes a great play, remember theese two things;
First, think about what you say before you say it'
Secondly, rember, you played the game, don't act like you've never seen a big home run or great catch before.
Next;
BA, out of all the current Brewers, who' your favorite player.
Finally, BA, If everything works out right I'll be going to the Brewers/Cardinals game on May 28th, If you and Rock are televising that game, I PROMISE I will come up to the booth and say hi
Finally this is how you guys can contact me during the off-season or on an off-day;

Your friend,

Has JJ Hardy changed his stance from last seaon? Appears he is exaggerated open and hands to far from body making to many moving parts for consistent swing?
